STL-DSA's political education committee kicks off our celebration of Black Liberatory History Month with a discussion of Assata: An Autobiography.
Comrade Assata was a member of the Black Liberation Army. Railroaded and framed by America, she successfully escaped prison on November 2, 1979, with the help of comrades. She remained a maroon for the rest of her life, passing away in Cuba on September 25th of last year. Learn with us why we should honor this revolutionary that refused to be caged and fought for her people's freedom with her dying breath. This is a virtual event from 5PM-7PM, on February 13th. See you there, comrades!
